“Blue River” is the previously unreleased last CD of James McSweeney.

Known as a loner, he worked with a small cadre of musicians in the USA’s Pacific Northwest for the past decade. His untimely demise late last year went largely unnoticed by mainstream music media. Several of the players he worked with,  when asked about the man, refused comment noting that he kept his life private and they respected his wishes.
The songs on this album are rough mixes gritty yet appealing in the unrealized possibilities they suggest. Like the Beatle’s Anthology series, these recording are a glimpse into the formative process of ideas becoming songs. Limited supply.
